Crossroads for Women Receives Multi-Year Funding from Medavie

Crossroads for Women is receiving a $75,000 grant over three years to support their South-East Sexual Assault Centre, ensuring victims receive timely access to trauma-informed care. The organization provides a variety of services and supports to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, including counselling, crisis intervention, transitional housing, and community outreach. This grant brings Medavie’s support of Crossroads for Women to $100,000.

Through the Foundation, Medavie supports community-based programs aligned with child and youth mental health, post-traumatic stress, and type 2 diabetes. Since late 2011, Medavie Health Foundation has committed over $2.7 million to single and multi-year grant and partnership programs in New Brunswick, including some $1 million in the Moncton area. This funding was announced at a reception in Moncton on Wednesday evening marking Medavie’s 75-year milestone of caring for Canadians, with partner representatives and stakeholders in attendance.
