TORONTO, ON – Medavie, a health solutions partner that integrates benefits management, health management and health care delivery, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joanne Kviring as Executive Director of the Medavie Health Foundation.

Through the Foundation, Medavie supports programs and initiatives aimed at addressing some of our country's most pressing physical and mental health care challenges. In April of this year, Medavie committed $5 million to support the needs of Canadians responding to COVID-19 – supporting initiatives addressing food insecurity, the mental health needs of adolescents, and frontline responders coping with COVID-19-related anxiety and post-traumatic stress.

Joanne has extensive experience in both corporate foundations and not-for-profit organizations. Prior to Medavie, Joanne held community leadership roles with PayPal Giving Fund Canada, Virgin Unite, City of Toronto, SickKids Foundation, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the RBC Foundation.

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and a Corporate Social Responsibility Certificate from Boston College. She will be based out of Medavie’s Toronto office location.
