Every year during the second week of April, the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community, are honoured. National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, April 11-17, is a time set aside to celebrate the commitment of telecommunicators to their profession. It’s also an occasion to thank them for the sacrifices they make in keeping Canadians and their communities safe and healthy ― work that was never more vital than during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of our tribute to the hard-working men and women who dedicate their lives to serving the public, we invited telecommunicators to tell us more about their roles and to share their pandemic experience.
