Medavie

Medavie Foundation

Founded in 2011 as an extension of our commitment to building healthy, vibrant communities, the Medavie Foundation is a registered charity that operates independently from Medavie.

The Medavie Foundation works closely with organizations whose mandates are connected to three key focus areas: healthy living, post-traumatic stress, and youth mental health.

Together, these focus areas reflect a holistic approach to health that recognizes the complex interconnection between mind, body and environment. They also reflect a connected continuum of care – prevention, resilience, and recovery – that supports Canadians at every stage of life.

By strengthening youth mental health, supporting healthy lifestyles, and addressing post-traumatic stress in public safety personnel, the Medavie Foundation’s focus areas help advance our shared vision for healthier people, stronger families, and more resilient communities while honouring the unique challenges of our own workforce and those we serve.

Through impactful community partnerships, grants, scholarships, and knowledge sharing, the Medavie Foundation works to address barriers to accessing care so that every Canadian can live a full life.

Since its inception, the has Foundation invested more than $46 million toward these causes. In 2025 alone, the Foundation partnered with 127 community-based organizations across Canada.
