Medavie

Partner With Us

The Medavie Foundation provides single-year grants to organizations operating in the communities where we live and work.

In some cases, the Medavie Foundation may make longer-term commitments to established partners that demonstrate sustained progress, recognizing that meaningful impact often takes time.

While there are numerous worthwhile approaches and organizations dedicated to enhancing our communities, the Medavie Foundation partners with organizations that:

  • are a qualified or non-qualified donee as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency
  • provide opportunities to connect with others in accessible, open, and safe spaces
  • operate programs and initiatives that provide barrier free access to regular and consistent physical activity, and/or food, and/or mental health support
  • primarily serve youth, seniors, public safety personnel, and/or the families of these populations
  • track participation and health outcomes, demonstrating improvements to mental and/or physical wellbeing
  • operate locally, with the involvement of the community you serve
  • demonstrate strong organizational financial management and governance
  • serve an area where Medavie has operations (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador)

Apply for funding

The Medavie Foundation accepts applications from eligible organizations during two periods annually:

  • December 1 to March 1
  • June 1 to September 1

A small number of the most aligned new partnerships are selected after each application period closes. Applicants will be notified of the status of their submission within 4 weeks of the close of each application period.

Although we welcome applications from all regions, during some periods, the Medavie Foundation may prioritize specific regions or populations based on coverage and funding availability. This period, the Medavie Foundation is prioritizing Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and Alberta.
